"The Cat Walk"

A Fundraiser for Shambala

www.shambala.org

Perched on the edge of the Mojave Desert, forty miles northeast of Los Angeles, California, Shambala is a surprising paradise and the only wild animal preserve of its kind in the United States providing a haven for almost seventy endangered exotic big cats.

Hiking for Shambala:

Santa Barbara Parrot Head, Steve Gowdy, has set a personal goal of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).  The PCT is a 2,650-mile national scenic trail that runs from Mexico to Canada through the states of  California, Oregon and Washington.

Steve has already hiked over 1,200 miles of the PCT and is planning to complete another 150 miles in 2007.

Steve will be hiking a 150 mile section of the PCT in September.  This portion will be from near Bend, Oregon to Mt. Hood.

Last year, Steve raised over $500 for Shambala through miles sponsored by fellow Parrot Heads and hopes to exceed that amount this year!

All donations made via the easy, secure links will be presented to Shambala after the completion of the "Cat Walk".
